Teachers - English/LA
Hello. What do you need to know about me? Besides my family (husband Rory, kids: Brady, Kallen and Aidan), my students are the best part of my day. They are unique and funny and wonderful people. I believe that the ages of 12 and 13 are important and challenging developmental years so the Middle School of CHHS is perfect for me. I love teaching grade eight because it also offers me a variety of subject matter. I get to immerse myself in content like: Humanities 8, Fashion 8 and Leadership 8. In the past I have also taught Outdoor Education 8 and Art 8. Never a dull moment...believe me! I have also been a part of the Grad Decorating Committee for 15 years.
I am a graduate of the University of Lethbridge. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Bachelor of Education after degree (with Great Distinction). I have been a member of the CHHS community for about 18 years. My experience ranges from teaching grade 7 to grade 11 in language arts and social.
In my spare time I like doing simple things - reading, walking the dog or hanging out with my family. Sometimes we do more elaborate activities, especially as the kids are getting older. We joined Little House on the Baja 2014 and spent a week building a school near Vicente Guerrero. We hope to join LHB again in July 2016.
Life is good.
